About Us

   GSOC/UAW Local 2110 is the union for almost 1000 graduate, teaching and research assistants at NYU. In Spring 2002, we bargained the historic first contract for graduate employees at a private university, significantly improving working conditions for graduate employees. We raised minimum stipends by as much as 38%, and we won fully paid health care benefits.
    We have created this website in an effort to make NYU’s dealings on and about campus transparent to every member of the NYU community. We have done so because we believe all members of this community have the right to know how NYU spends its money, how NYU operates, what’s happening on campus and how NYU invests alumni donations.
